Janet Jackson Announces New Music And World Tour

To Celebrate her 49th birthday Janet Jackson announced, via video posted late Friday, that she will be releasing new music! “I promised you’d hear it from my lips and now you will. This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening. Let’s keep the conversation going,” says Jackson in the video announcement.

Janet’s last studio album, Discipline was back in 2008, and Janet was pretty much M.I.A. until recently. This announcement also comes less than one year after the 25th anniversary of her iconic album Rhythm Nation 1814. Theres even rumors of a Janet Jackson and a Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis reunion for this album. All I can say is that I’m here for this! The woman who set the standard for today’s female R&B performers is back!!
