Diafra Sakho arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage

Premier League striker Diafra Sakho has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage.
The West Ham star was held when officers swooped on his £3million home in Hornchurch, Essex, last Thursday.
The 25-year-old was arrested on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and malicious communication and quizzed at a police station in Tower Hamlets, East London and bailed until September.
Senegalese international Sakho, who joined West Ham for £3.5million last year and scored 12 goals in his first season, is now rated at £15million.
The arrest came just three days before he helped his club to an opening 2-0 win against London rivals Arsenal.
A spokesman from Scotland Yard said: “Officers from Tower Hamlets have arrested a man on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and malicious communication.
"The 25-year-old was arrested on Thursday, 6 August at an address in Emerson Park, Hornchurch. He was taken to an east London police station and has been bailed to a date in late September."
Sakho joined West Ham in August last year and has scored 10 goals for the team in 24 appearances.
