iPhone 6S

     iPhone 6S

As soon as the iPhone 6 was released, speculation already began mounting as to what the next upgrade would be from Apple. Will it follow the same pattern as the iPhone 5 series or will the technology giant head straight to the iPhone 7?

How much will the iPhone 6s cost? Apple fever soars ahead of latest model launch

Apple fever is set to sweep the nation today as the technology giant unveils its latest iPhones and iPads.
A raft of trendsetting new products include the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus in a tougher aluminium body to prevent the repetition of last year’s Bendgate fiasco which saw the supersize 6 Plus warp when placed in back pockets of skinny jeans.

Available in rose gold for the first time, the slicker models have upgraded cameras and are expected to include Force Touch which is already in Apple’s smartwatch.
The feature can tell the difference between a light finger tap or press which allows users to carry out different functions and shortcuts, depending on the pressure they apply to the screen.
Prices are expected to start from £539 for the 6S and £619 for the 6S Plus.

And a much hyped kingsize iPad which at 12.9 inches is a far cry from the easy to carry seven inch version, will also be unveiled at the Apple event in San Franciso this evening.
Experts say the new iPad Pro or Plus aimed at business users will take on Microsoft’s 12 inch Surface Pro 3 which costs £639 for the 64GB version.

And a smaller 12.2 inch iPad Air Plus is predicted to be amongst Apple’s announcements.
A new, cheaper gold Apple watch is also on the cards along with revamped Apple TV which includes a touch-pad remote and voice control to search for and select shows and films.

Apple sold a record 183 million iPhones in the nine months since launching the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus last September but a survey by website comparethemarket.com suggests savvy Brits will wait six months for prices to come down before buying.
According to the study, almost half will hang on for a full blown price war although one in ten gadget geeks will want to be amongst the first to get their hands on the new devices.
